Summer 2024 Graduates: Fall Commencement means Summer grads, too! You deserve your moment to cross the stage with your classmates. That’s why our fall ceremony traditionally includes Summer and Fall graduates. Join us!

APPLY FOR GRADUATION

Graduation applications are overdue! Oct. 1 was the last day to apply and be included in the commencement program.

Students should consult their academic advisor before submitting their graduation application using the Graduation tab in Campusnet. Please review full details from the Office of the University Registrar.

SUBMIT RSVP TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
(includes name pronunciation)

Let us know if you plan to take part in the ceremony. RSVP webform is now live!

If you plan to attend, please enter the phonetic spelling of the entire name you wish to be read aloud as you cross the stage – regardless of name complexity.

The RSVP to Participate form will be available until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, but we appreciate your responses as soon as possible.

Please note: If you miss the RSVP deadline, you are still able to participate in the graduation ceremonies. Please arrive at your designated time with your regalia and check in to receive further instructions.

PURCHASE REGALIA (Caps and Gowns)

Regalia can be purchased in-store and online at Viking Outfitters beginning tentatively Monday, Nov. 4. 

Viking Outfitters will also hold their annual Fall Grad Fair on Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Your one-stop shop for regalia, class rings, snacks, prizes and more!

Please note:
If ordering regalia online for delivery, orders must be placed by Thurs, Dec. 5 to guarantee on-time arrival via standard shipping. The deadline for expedited 2-day delivery orders would need to be placed by Monday, Dec. 9. The deadline to purchase regalia in store is Friday, Dec. 13 during business hours (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) Contact Viking Outfitters at vikingoutfitters@csuohio.edu or visit the store inside the Student Center with any questions.

HONORS MEDALLIONS

Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credit hours (excluding alternative credit) in residence at Cleveland State University and who have earned a cumulative grade point average between 3.30 and 4.00 (calculated to two decimal places unrounded) are eligible to graduate with the following honors:

• 3.30-3.59 Cum Laude
• 3.60-3.79 Magna Cum Laude
• 3.80-4.00 Summa Cum Laude

The registrar's office will notify those graduating with honors via email. Students will receive an honors medallion to be worn with regalia during commencement.
