Community Standards & Compliance

The mission of the Office of Community Standards and Compliance is to promote a campus culture of safety, respect, accountability, and belonging.
We achieve this by:

  • Educating the campus community on the rights and responsibilities under the CSU Student Code of Conduct
  • Promoting equity throughout the conduct process
  • Guiding students through the process of filing a complaint
  • Assisting students in understanding and applying their due process rights and utilizing appeal procedures
  • Connecting students to appropriate on and off campus resources to support their holistic wellness
  • Answering questions related to the Student Code of Conduct and other relevant policies and procedures
  • Fostering critical thinking skills by challenging student perceptions and engaging in self-reflection
  • Engaging in dialogue around the conduct process, incorporating CSU community feedback
  • Adjudicating cases in an effort to repair harm and prevent harm from reoccurring
  • Applying principals of restorative justice to create a culture where every member of our CSU community feels welcomed and valued
